Word for 2013 from Cindy Jacobs and the ACPE

January 17, 2013

A.C.P.E. Word of the Lord for 2013

Each year, as we have since 1999, the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders meets before the New Year to pray and seek the Lord for a word.  This is a compilation of what was sensed during this year’s gathering.  It should always be noted that the ACPE believes that the Lord speaks more in seasons, as opposed to our calendar years, and in the past few years we have observed that the trend of some of the prophetic words have been continuing for several years and intensifying.

It is also important to note that intercession can diminish the severity of some of the words that speak of potential judgment – and in some cases may avert them all together.  In any case, all prophecies should be bathed in intercession, both the ones that speak of harvest and blessing, as well as the ones with the admonitions attached to them.

As prophets, it is always wise to go back and look at the words we have given in the past.  We did this for the years 2011-12.  Of course, let us reiterate, timing of the words should be understood more as a season than a calendar year.  The words given are not fate or karma but can be changed subject to how God’s people respond.

2011: The Year of the Perfect Storm

In 2011, we prophesied the perfect storms.  We have certainly had those.  The word was given of greater earthquakes, floods, and severe weather patterns of all kinds.

These all happened – in February, a winter storm of historic proportions, according to the National Weather Service; a catastrophic tornado outbreak in April; hurricane Irene in August, the sixth costliest storm in U.S. history at $16 billion.

2012: The Year of Shakings

In looking at the word given for 2012, we saw that it was not only incredibly accurate, but still includes the season we are moving into with more shakings to come.  We saw an intensifying of nature responding to our sin.  The year broke U.S. heat records, bringing drought and the U.S. government declared it the second-worst in U.S. history for “extreme” weather such as hurricanes, droughts or floods, according to CNN.  CNN also reported that hurricane Sandy caused an estimated $80 billion in damage to New York and New Jersey alone.  For this reason, we are going to attach it to this Word of the Lord for 2013.

2013: Watch and Prepare/The Year of Contrasts

2013 and the number thirteen typifies the twelve apostles and Jesus, thus representing completeness.  Therefore we know there are going to be new team entities to accomplish great things for the Body of Christ in this coming year.  We must learn to communicate and value relational unity stronger than ever before, as there are some blessings, crises, and challenges that can only be fully navigated through deep spiritual unity, more than in other seasons of time.

The ACPE felt this coming year would be one of great contrasts and polarity.  In a sense, we are entering a new era. Things cannot be done in the same way they have in the past season.

The New Era – A “But Now” Season

And he said to them, ‘When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?’  So they said, ‘Nothing.’  Then he said to them, ‘But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise, a knapsack, and he who has no sword, let him sell his possessions and buy one.’” (Luke 22:35-36)

Here is a passage the Lord showed us as a prophetic picture of the contrasts coming that will show the difference between those who have the blessing of the Lord upon them in the midst of a dark season.

Contrast Between Light and Dark

Arise, shine; for your light has come!  And the glory of The Lord is risen upon you.  For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and his glory will be seen upon you.  Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you. The multitudes of camels shall cover your land, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come; They shall bring gold and incense, And they shall proclaim the praises of the Lord. (Is. 60:1-2, 5-6)

In contrast to the season of glory for those who prepare and hear, it will be a season of darkness or, as some translations say, “gloom” for those unprepared. The good news is that we are not created for darkness and gloom, but for glory!  In this passage, the camels brought wealth in caravans.  So for us as believers, this means the camels, or their modern-day equivalents, are coming with provision!

This will also be connected with the transference of wealth on international levels.  For those who watch and listen, they will hear the voice of the Lord for huge financial blessings.  The Joseph generation is going to emerge in this season as never before.

Hear and Prepare

One prophet had a vision of a tuning fork being struck by the Lord and put to our ear.  The Lord spoke to us that He is going to “fine-tune” our hearing to know how to prosper.  This is not a time for spiritual laziness but for a disciplined spiritual life.

We see that for those who watch and prepare, the glory of the Lord is going to be seen on you by all.  You will shine like you have never shone.  Those who are like the sons of Issachar will be blessed in this time in contrast to those who are dull of hearing.  So, those who have watched and prepared will be blessed.

Preparedness should also take place on the institutional level as well.  It was clear to us that the word we had given in 2012 about crisis preparedness was even more relevant now than before.  We are calling on individuals, churches and communities to become disaster-prepared.  The shakings are going to continue and increase, and those who prepare will become a refuge for others, resulting in evangelism opportunities as the mental strongholds of those who believed the church to be uncaring are torn down.

Matthew 25 is an important passage for us this coming season.

Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.  (Matthew 25:1-13)

How to prepare:

Keep your lamps full.  Stay in the word; be full of the power of the Holy Spirit.

Live a life-style of worship.

Renew your study about having confidence in and faith toward God.

Crisis preparedness.  This needs to be done on both a personal level as well as at church and community levels.

Re-evaluate how you are handling your finances.  Ask God what to buy and sell.

Seek God for the “new wine” structures that will help you to be flexible in this new season.

Do not react out of fear, but rather respond out of faith.  Don’t forget, you belong to a kingdom that can’t be shaken.

Watch and Obey

A renewed and sharpened sensitivity to the voice of the Holy Spirit is a must in this season.  When God tells you to not go into a place, don’t.  Obey the Holy Spirit’s cautions without being paranoid.  Buy when the Lord tells you to, and don’t when you should not spend.  This is a time to move in faith and not fear.  God still has dreams to dream through you, and it is critical that you keep moving forward with the vision God has placed into your heart and not become stagnant.

Instability-The New Reality

In this new era, we could say that instability will be our new reality.  However, those who listen to the Lord’s guidance will navigate this season and be successful.  Some major organizations will go bankrupt such as casualty insurance companies.  The bankruptcies of American cities will increase and there will be an increasing inability to provide adequate expected services such as fire and police.  Much of this will be the result of a path established by policies of former governmental administrations, but the blame will be placed on the current ones.  Resolving these problems will be greatly hindered by finger-pointing and animosity, manifesting in heightened racial and socio-economic tensions.

Against this backdrop will be communities that will have displayed the ability to foresee and understand these times and seasons, and who will have established infrastructure at the community level that does not have to rely on outside resources.  Apostolic and prophetic church leadership with a “Joseph anointing” will be instrumental in preparing not only their local churches, but their greater communities, for the coming times of volatility.

Goshens, Sheep and Goats

It will be evident in the coming days, as events unfold, that there are some who have the blessing of God and those who do not.  This was likened to us as those being what we might call “sheep or goat” states, regions, cities and even people.  The sheep states, those who have followed the word of God concerning the rights of the unborn child, biblical definition of marriage, helping to eliminate systemic poverty and fighting against injustice such as human trafficking, will be blessed.  They will stand in sharp contrast to those who do not.  We felt strongly that some people as well as geographic regions would become typologically “Goshens”, where others would flee to in the midst of instability.  Migrations of people out of places which do not have leadership following biblical principles will start to take place.

United States versus other nations

One year ago, we gave the word that if the United States did not make a major shift toward reformation in 2012, our measure of greatness would continue to decline.  That shift did not occur.  The United States will continue to decline while other nations such as China, India, Indonesia, Korea, and others will rise.

Economies

As a result of following a path turning away from God, the nation is suffering.

We prophesied “no more business as usual” in January of 2008 before the September meltdown of that year.  We could say that the stone from Daniel 2 has been thrown at the feet of the economies of the world..Some believe this to be the Babylonian structures.  Therefore the structures of the whole world have been weakened in some respects.

Daniel 2:35 speaks of a stone striking the foot of a statue that has mixture.  God is going to shake corrupt economic systems.  The old systems that have been held in place through corrupt leaders are going to shake as well.  Many who have prayed for their nations will see a major governmental change that will put them on a path of awakening and blessing.

Believers should ask God for the timing when they need to buy land and businesses, and make their influence known, even under duress.  Man-made structures are going to continue to have great stress and pressure.  Kingdom-minded business leaders are going to be especially anointed in this season.  Both Esthers and Daniels will arise in this day to influence economic systems and nations.

An admonition came forth not to get stuck in old wineskins even in the area of your personal finances in the coming days or you will miss your opportunities when they come along from God.

A New Move of the Holy Spirit

On the positive, we are going to see the rise of new revivalists, many who have been as yet unseen, but will burst upon the scene with great power and authority.  The world will be astounded as they come from seemingly nowhere to a great visibility due to the way in which the power and authority of God is manifested through them.

Beware of Deception

Be especially vigilant against deception trying to enter into the church in this season, which will try and shut down these new moves of God.

Chicago, Illinois

The inner cities and urban areas are going to be touched by this new wave of power evangelism.  Some of the darkest areas, such as the inner city of Chicago, are going to see a dramatic intervention from the Spirit of the Living God.

New Alignments

2013 will be a year in which many things in the lives of believers will come into alignment.  The Lord’s focus for the church will be coming into the place where she can be a voice to the nation.  Nehemiah 13 is a picture of this.  God used him to bring into alignment both God’s people and the government.  With these new alignments must come a re-assessment of the things God requires of you in this new season.

Prayer and Spiritual Warfare

There will be a resurgence of teaching on both prayer and spiritual warfare, and God’s people will once again war in intercession.  A whole new army of prayer warriors will be trained.

Uncompromised Leadership

Pastors will arise with the anointing of a William Wilberforce and fight against injustice.  There will be new movements of righteousness and justice.  An awakening both to holiness and justice will sweep the nations.  Fighting human trafficking will be a special focus of the church; especially among the youth.

“Daniel prophets” will arise out of this movement who stand unafraid.  Reformers will arise in governmental positions.  Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, and Alabama will begin to awaken.

Prophets

The prophets of God must not be intimidated by the fire-storm that will come against them in the coming days.  There is a hidden church even among influential world leaders who are like the “Obadiahs,” but the prophets are about to be revealed in great power and authority if they do not back down in this season of persecution.

There has been a culture of death that has reigned through abortion, but God is raising up young fire-brands whose voices will not be silenced until this evil is eradicated in nation after nation.  The Spirit of Elijah will manifest in a glorious way upon these young voices who will speak up for the unborn.

Worship will be a major key in this movement as God will bring a world-wide emphasis on the restoration of the tabernacle of David, as prophesied in Acts 15:16.  Little children will worship and prophesy as well.

Weather Related Crises

We have not seen the end of the weather-related crises and weather patterns.  One ACPE leader sensed that organizations like FEMA would become virtually bankrupt as the earth produces violent shakings and storms that are beyond its resource levels.

Already, since the ACPE meeting in early December, Congress has already had to rush $9.7 billion in aid to FEMA due to flood insurance claims from the October hurricane Sandy.  This is borrowed money from the Treasury, which increases the national deficit, and another $51 billion has been requested.  Intensifying natural disasters will further stress the government’s ability to assist in such calamities.

OTHER NATIONS:

Israel

In the midst of the pressure of the Middle East de-stabilizing, Israel will experience a move of the Holy Spirit.  Congregations will come into unity on a level not yet seen.

Special prayer is needed for peace in the Middle East, and there is an admonition that the rest of the world should not forget them.  Pray for the protection of the borders of Israel.

Latin America

Latin America will begin to shake off its shackles of extreme leftism.  There are leaders waiting in the wings who are the Josephs and Daniels of new governmental structures, and they will be reformers.

Vietnam

Vietnam will begin to emerge as an economic power, seemingly overnight.  Many will start to build factories there, including business leaders from main-land China.

Europe and Euro

It was prophesied that the Euro would fragment.  This will lead to the eventual re-structuring of Europe in some sense.  The time period for this to take place was not shown to us.

Europe

Europe will experience a move of God as there is a hunger in the soul of God’s people there, and top leaders will begin to say that humanism and socialism did not work.

Austria

Austria will be a key to this move of God, and the sound of music will once again resonate around the world as new worship songs come from this nation.

Campuses

Campuses in the U.S., Britain, France, and Romania will flame with revival and reformation.  New youth leaders’ movements will arise that will connect the new generation.

Ring of Fire Nations

The ring of fire nations will burn for God.  New missions movements will be launched.  The unreached peoples will be reached, and there will be an escalation of missionaries answering the call.

Africa

Africa will thrive!  Nation after nation will find its leaders dedicating their nations to the Lord Jesus Christ.  The spirit of poverty is beginning to be broken off this continent.  Cultural transformations will take place.  Look to the middle of the continent, for there will be a fire of the Holy Spirit that will begin there and spread to the rest of the world.

Arabic World

Nations will align with nations in surprising ways as old alignments manifest themselves once again.  The Arabic world is going to clash with itself in unprecedented measures.  Even formerly stable regions, such as Saudi Arabia, will start to de-stabilize.’

Egypt

Egypt is in its Isaiah 19 shaking moment, but in the midst of the shaking, one of the greatest prayer armies in the world will mobilize with great unity.

India

This is India’s time to shine!  Prayer will fill this nation from the north to the south, to the east and the west.

Japan

Japan will experience a move of God that begins with their youth.

Korea

Prepare the missionaries for North Korea.  Healing will begin from North to South.  Many Korean business leaders will be sent even to Wall Street.

China

It probably goes without needing to be said, but China will continue its advance to becoming a world-economic power.  This nation needs our special and earnest prayer.

Iran, Syria, and the Persecuted Church

There will be a shift in leadership in many Middle Eastern nations.  Those who have been in favor will fall out of favor almost overnight.  A call to pray for the persecuted church came forth from the Holy Spirit.  The Lord wants to bring a great harvest to Syrians in particular in this season.  God’s miracle working power will manifest in Iran.  The Lord did not speak details to us beyond that at this time.

The Calendar Year 2013 – The Biblical Year 5773

January 17, 2013

The Calendar Year 2013 – the Biblical Year 5773

This is a transcription of a teaching done by Robert Heidler – Pastor of Glory of Zion in Corinth, Texas:

In the Hebrew calendar, each year is represented by a set of Hebrew Letters.  Hebrew letters don’t just have a sound, they also each have a meaning.

Jews believe that the letters of the Hebrew alphabet are part of God’s prophetic revelation.

Jesus agreed:  He said, “ The smallest Hebrew letter, or the smallest part of a Hebrew letter will not pass away till all is fulfilled.”  If we understand the Hebrew letters for a year, it gives us a prophetic picture of what God is saying.

If you remember: 2007 was a year of floods.  The Hebrew number for that year was Zayin.  Zayin words in Hebrew include: “to flow, gush forth, to FLOOD, to pour forth in floods!”  This was telling us to watch the places that flood – that’s where the Holy Spirit will begin to be poured out.

This last year – 2012 – the Hebrew letter was Bet (the number 2).  Bet means “house.”  Last year was the year of the House.  In our nation, the key issues were the White House and the House of Representatives.  A lot of people moved into new houses last year.  It was a year of God working to establish His House – the Place of His Presence dwelling!

This year (2013) is the Hebrew year 5773.

5700 means:  May it be the year of……

70 is the Hebrew letter Ayin

3 is the Hebrew letter Gimel

5773: The year of Ayin Gimel

In Hebrew, those letters both have meaning.

Ayin:  Ayin is the prophetic season (10 Years) we are in.  Ayin was originally a picture of an eye.  In an Ayin season (this 10 year season we are in): God wants to increase your ability to see.  He says, “Look again!”  He wants you to see beyond… to see in ways you have not seen before!  He wants to give you clear vision to see what you could not see before.

In Hebrew the letter Ayin also means a “well or spring.”  In this Ayin season, God wants to refresh you and give you new strength!  It’s a year to let God’s spring of living water well up from inside you!

Gimel:  The word Gimel comes from the Hebrew word for Camel.  The letter Gimel was originally a picture of a camel.  So in Hebrew, this is the year of the CAMEL!  Declare:  “The Camels are coming.”  God wants us to know this is the year of the camel… and since this year started last September, we seen camels a lot!

In November, ABC News ran a story about an escaped camel running through the streets of Glendale, Ca:  The Camels are Coming!  NBC News.com also ran a story on Thanksgiving Day: “In the market for a camel?  Pushkar fair has up to 20,000 animals for sale and trade.  It was the story about a camel fair in India that’s become a major tourist attraction!

Gimel is the Year of the Camel!

What does that mean?

In the ancient world, camels were very important animals.

Camels were a Measure of Wealth: at the beginning of the book of Job, we see Job was the richest man in the land because he had 3,000 camels.  By the end of the book, God had blessed Job so greatly he had doubled his wealth – He had 6,000 camels!  Key issue:  PROSPERITY!  Camel is a symbol of prosperity.  Camels brought your provision from afar.  When the queen of Sheba visited Solomon, she brought a great caravan of camels carrying spices, large quantities of gold and precious stones.   Biblically, this is a year to see GREAT INCREASE!  This is a year when God wants to move you into a new level of provision.

A key passage for this year is Isaiah 60: “Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.  Darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you.  Nations will come to your light, and kings the brightness of your dawn.  Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.  Herds of Camels will cover your land, young camels of Midian and Ephah.   All from Sheba will come, bearing gold and incense and proclaiming the praise of the Lord.”

This is a prophecy of God’s glory coming and resting on His people!  Where God’s glory is manifest, there is blessing and full provision!  The out come of God’s Glory will be herds of CAMELS covering the land, bringing great provision, and also filling the land with great praise!  So the year of the camel is a year for a fresh manifestation of God’s glory and a fresh outpouring of provision!

Camels measured the might of an army:  Judges 7:12 describes the Midianite army:  “There CAMELS could no more be counted than sand on the seashore.”  The year of the camel is a year to know the strength of the ARMY that is backing you up!  Israel has always been surrounded by ruthless enemies!  How has Israel survived?  By the ARMIES OF HEAVEN – they are defending Israel!  When you know the strength of the army that is backing you up, there’s no more room for FEAR!

2 Kings 6: The King of Aram sent an army to capture Elisha.  When Elisha’s servant went out the next morning, an army had surrounded the city.  “Oh now, my lord!  What shall we do?” the servant asked.  “Don’t be afraid,” Elisha answered.  “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”  Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so he can SEE.”  Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.  God wants you to SEE His army this year!

It is important to know the power that backs you because this is the year to do exploits!  One of the

key GIMEL words is GIBBOR!:  “Hero or Warrior.”  It is the Year of the Hero-Warrior!  One of the

names of  God is “EL GIBBOR!”  “Mighty God – the Lord, Mighty in Battle!”

In the Old Testament we read about David’s MIGHTY MEN – GIBORIM.  Warriors known for their   strength and courage willing to take a stand against the enemy and anxious to do exploits!  This year, God want to raise up A GIBBORIM!  Warrior-Heroes in the spiritual realm!  Those who will do exploits for God and see territories changed!  This is the year that God is stirring in the hearts of His people to rise up in new strength.  To operate in a new level of power and boldness!  To take back our territory!  To overcome the devil, tear down his works and set his captives free!  This is a year to banish all fear and move forward in faith.  From your victories will come your spoils!  But to do that, you need to KNOW who you are!   Many of you see yourself as weak and helpless against the enemy.  You are fearful and

passive.  But that is not what God has for you.  You are the Salt of the Earth – the Light of the

World!  The world is in a mess, but we’re the ones who can do something about it!

God want you to confess your true identity:

Joel 3:10: “Let the weak say, ‘I am STRONG.’”  The word “strong” is GIBBOR!  Some of you see yourself as weak!  God is saying, “You need to change the way you look at yourself!”  You think you are weak, but you were created to be a WARRIOR-HERO!  Anyone can be GIBBOR if El Gibbor is with you!  God is calling you to be a valiant warrior!  He is calling you to do exploits:  to heal the sick and win the lost – to do battle in prayer and see nations changed.

Camels are a sign that the door to your destiny has opened.  Isaac and Rebekah (Genesis 24): “Isaac went out to the field and as he looked up, he saw camels approaching.”  Rebekah looked up and saw Isaac.  She got down from her camel.  Isaac married Rebekah – she became his wife and he loved her.  Isaac’s issue here was not just a wife.  His destiny was to bring forth Israel, and to do that he had to find Rebekah!  When Isaac saw the camels coming, he knew the door to his destiny had opened!  Look for the door to your destiny to open this year!

When the Camels come…JOYFUL PRAISE is RELEASED!  Isaiah 60:6: “Herds of Camels will cover your land…All from Sheba will come…proclaiming the praise of the Lord!  When the camels arrive, the land will overflow with praise.”  The year of GIMEL is a year to REJOICE IN THE LORD!  The Joy of the Lord is your strength.  “Joyful Praise” is a Gimel word.  The Hebrew word “Gheel” means to rejoice and be glad.  It comes from a root word that means to spin around.  God wants you to enter new dimensions of praise and worship this year.  Chuck Pierce says, “This is a time to worship so the enemy’s plans of poverty and drought can be uncovered.”  Praise releases provision!  To receive your provision this year, you must learn to praise!  This year, ask God for a fresh encounter with Jesus that will activate a new level of praise in your heart.

Finally: The Year of the Camel is a year to Make it Through a Narrow Place and into Your Future.  The last place camels are mentioned in the Bible is Luke 18:25 when Jesus talks about a camel going through the “Eye of the Needle.”

What does that mean?  Ancient city gages were closed at night.  But the gate usually has a small door called “The Eye of the Needle.”  Through the Eye of the Needle, they could let people in and out, one at a time, after the gates of the city were closed!  But sometimes a merchant arrived after the gates were closed.  His camel was burdened down with valuable merchandise to sell at the city market the next day and the merchant didn’t want to leave the camel outside.  How could he get the camel through the small gate (The Eye of the Needle)?  The only way was to take off all the baggage the camel was carrying.  Then the camel had to get down on its knees.  When that happened, the camel could make it through “The Eye of the Needle.”

Going through The Eye of the Needle means you are going through a narrow place!  But if you are willing to humble yourself and let go of some things, you can make it through!  When God gives you a promise, getting there often involves going through a narrow place.  You may be at a narrow place right now – things are happening you don’t like or understand – God is asking you to do things you don’t want to do – You are uncomfortable with the situation you are in!  Satan has come to you to fill you with fear and anxiety about the future – you see what lies ahead and say, “How will I ever make it through?”  You hear God’s promise and it sounds great, but then you find yourself in the NARROW PLACE!  Remember, most of the men and women of faith we read about in the Bible had to go through Narrow Places.

  • David went through a Narrow Place.  The prophet Samuel came to David and anointed him and prophesied that he would be the next KING!  But before he could be king… he had to deal with Saul!  So David spent years of his life as a fugitive, living in the wilderness while Saul tried to kill him!
  • Joseph went through a Narrow Place!  God gave Joseph a prophetic dream that he would be exalted!  But first he was sold as a slave in Egypt.  He had to live as a slave, experience false accusation and imprisonment.  He had to go through that Narrow Place before the promise could be fulfilled.
  • Even Jesus went through a Narrow Place.  His goal was to redeem a people for God, bring them into a relationship with Himself, and to fellowship with us through all the ages of eternity.  But, to get there He had to endure the Cross.  Hard!  In His humanity, He dreaded it.  The night before the crucifixion.   He was sweating blood and pleading with the Father to find another way.

Don’t be surprised by your Narrow Place.  If God calls you to go through a Narrow Place this year, you are in good company.  A Narrow Place is not judgment or punishment.  It’s an opportunity.  This is a year to make it through the Narrow Place.  In the year of the camel, you can make it through the needle’s eye.

At the narrow place, the key question is:  “Will you believe God’s promise?”  Why is it important to press through the eye of the needle this year?  It’s because on the other side of that eye is your future.  You press through a narrow place to enter a broad place.  This is the year to rise up in faith and lay the foundation for your future.

How do you get through the Narrow Place?

  • You take off all the burdens you’ve been carrying.  Paul had to let go of something s to make it through his narrow place!  He said he lost ALL that was gain to him and counted it as rubbish!  Ask yourself:  What do I need to let go of this year?  It’s it your comfort, your pride, your self-will, those things you think you have a right to expect, etc.?
  • You have to humble yourself, get down on your knees and submit to any process God has put you in.  Paul had to humble himself and submit.  He was no longer a respected rabbi.  For 16 years, he was just part of the church in Antioch.  Ask yourself:  “How do I need to humble myself and submit to make it through?”

Keep your eyes on the Joy on the other side.  It is a year to keep your eyes on the promise (faith.)  When you put your eyes on the JOY – FAITH arises to press you through the Narrow Place.  Jesus endured the cross for the JOY!  Paul laid down everything for the JOY!  Israel would have make it to the Promised Land if they had taken their eyes off the giants and put them on the JOY!  This is a year to put aside fear and worry and CHOOSE to REJOICE!

On the other side of the NEEDLE’S EYE is your FUTURE!  On the other side of the NARROW PLACE is the BLESSING!  If you are in a Narrow Place right now – fix your gaze on the promises of god!  Remember God’s words for your life!  God always has a good plan for your future, and if you follow Him, He’ll take you there!  Thank about what god has promised you, and be filled with JOY in anticipation of what God will do. Don’t turn back – keep your eyes on the JOY and declare:

I’m Coming Through!

If you take the letters for this year and you put them together, they form an arrowhead!

This is a year to move forward and ADVANCE!  God want you to cross over into your future this year.  This is a year of great promise.  It’s a year to escape from the past and enter the glory of the future.  It’s a time to neutralize the enemy’s power, recover lost strength and be nourished into wholeness.  It is a year to see the priesthood for this hour blossom and to mature into the One New Man!

It’s a year to enter into a new dimension of prosperity – The camels are coming!!!  Get ready – it is time to cross over and inherit the promise!

Be blessed in this year of the Lord!

Let’s unite in agreement declaration: We are one in the spirit, we are one in the Lord. We declare that we have been redeemed and made one through the blood of Jesus Christ. We agree California will fulfill her God ordained destiny.  We stand together in prayer linking county to county in covenant alignment, to see God’s kingdom come and His will be done on earth – in California – as it is in heaven. Amen

Ventura County History

Ventura County was birthed out of Santa Barbara County in 1873 and is located north of Los Angeles County along California’s Pacific Coast. It is often referred to as the Gold Coast, and has a reputation of being one of the safest populated places and one of the most affluent places in the country. It is ranked as one of the 100 highest-income counties in the country and as the sixth wealthiest county in California by per capita income. This is partly because it is part of the Tech Coast Area, and has a large presence in technology corporations like telecommunications, healthcare, development, and especially biotech corporations, most of which are located in the Conejo Valley.

As of December 2008, the median home price was $355,000.[1]  There are 10 cities in Ventura County: Ventura, Ojai, Oxnard, Camarillo, Port Hueneme, Moorpark, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Santa Paula and Fillmore.

According to the 2000 census, the county has a total area of 2,208.20 square miles (5,719.2 km2), of which 1,845.30 square miles (4,779.3 km2) (or 83.57%) is land and 362.90 square miles (939.9 km2) (or 16.43%) is water.[20] Anacapa Island of Channel Islands National Park and San Nicolas Island are located in the county.

Location and Statistics

As of the 2010 census, the county had a population of 823,318 primarily residing in 10 cities. The county seat is the city of Ventura (officially known as San Buenaventura for Saint Bonaventure). Ventura County’s largest city is Oxnard, with a population of about 200,000, ranking 17th in California and 170 in the nation in terms of size. Latinos constitute 40% of the county’s population with several cities having well over 50% of their population identified as Latinos (Oxnard, Santa Paula, Fillmore). Between 2000 and 2010, the share of Hispanic population in the county increased from 33.4% to 40.3%. A growing segment of the Latino population is the Mixteco community, a native Indian group from Mexico’s State of Oaxaca who now number 50,000 in the county. They speak an Indian dialect known as Mixtec and primary work in agriculture. The Asian community is the next largest minority, representing 6.6% of the population. Less than 1% identifies themselves as non-Hispanic Native Americans Indian.

Root Issues    Gangs are a problem in Ventura County. Roughly 10% of the combined population of Oxnard and Port Hueneme are affiliated with gangs, and 92% are Hispanic. The youngest documented gang member is 13 years old and 47% of the gang members are between 13 and 25 years of age. Many Los Angeles-based gangs have moved up into our county. In 2006, a permanent gang injunction was set by Ventura County District Attorney against the known Oxnard gang with map encompassing parts of Central and South Oxnard and portions of Port Hueneme.

Human trafficking is also a problem. Many cities have seen an overwhelming rise in massage parlors and several have tried to place a moratorium on the creation of new and/or restrict their business licensing. Due to the state regulating the industry, local control, oversight and enforcement is very limited. The history of human trafficking has its beginnings as far back as the late 1800’s when land grant purchasers noticed that coastal inlets and coves were used for human trafficking. There are said to be tunnels from the coastland and wharf area to downtown Oxnard; one such was discovered under an old abandoned Chinese restaurant dating back to the turn of the 20th Century. In recent months, small boats have been found abandoned along the coast and feared to have contained illegal drugs.

The Hells Angels and Vagos Motorcycle Gang had their beginnings in Ventura County. George Christie, founder of the Hells Angels and his family still reside in Ventura. Both gangs have national footprints and deal with illegal drugs and weapons.

Drugs are a problem in Ventura County and homes and remote areas of several communities are used for methamphetamine labs. The District Attorney successfully worked with Mexican officials to arrest and detain a notorious Mexican drug cartel leader on charges of heroin distribution. Recently there’s been a spike of use in the younger generation of the synthetic drug created from marijuana, and users end up at the County’s mental facility and last year, several deaths of young adults were attributed to tainted heroin.

Segregation and persecution due to race and religion (Catholic) have local roots. The KKK roots have been traced to 1923 in Santa Paula and were against the Catholics and Mexicans.

Prayer Points

1. Ventura County be a county of residents fully submitted to the will and destiny of God our Father in all areas, giving Him all glory and honor for the abundance of our vast agricultural blessings and cultural heritage.

2. That true reconciliation occur with the Chumash Native Americans through prayer, blessing and honor as our First Nation People.

3. That a Fatherly blessing is bestowed on gang members and those that seek violence in our cities and on our streets so that we can see truth and peace reign in our communities. May God our Father shine in our hearts and be magnified in our relationships with each other to be witnesses to the world.

4. As each city and the County of Ventura have Redemptive Gifts, may we be led to move in the Spirit, declaring unity and blessing over our county and in and through each city. That we would desire to rule righteously, lead with justice and be in harmony with one another for God’s Kingdom Government.

5. We declare that “As Ventura County goes, so goes the Great State of California”, in all areas of government. As government extends their hand to bless the people, that men and women of Christian faith rise up and take their respective positions to take the land in Jesus’ name.

Father we bring Ventura County before you today and pray your purpose, will and destiny be done on earth-in Ventura  County- as it is in heaven. We speak blessings and peace upon the land and upon the people. Amen .

The county was named after El Rio de los Santos Reyes (River of the Holy Kings) after the Three Wise Men of the Bible. The river was discovered in 1805 by an expedition probably led by Spanish Army Lieutenant Gabriel Moraga. At the time of the American conquest, the name was changed to Kings River.

KINGS COUNTY

GENERAL INFORMATION

Before any towns existed within Kings County, a handful of pioneers called it home. The Landmark tree, a huge sycamore located on Lacey Boulevard near Avenue 18-3/4, stood as a beacon to guide early settlers over the otherwise barren valley floor. Cattlemen and gold miners initially settled along the Kings River; and farmers, storekeepers and oilmen later followed.

In 1877, the tracks of the Southern Pacific Railroad brought additional growth and new arrivals from around the world.  In 1893, local voters approved the formation of a new county when a portion of Northern Tulare County was divided to form Kings County.

County Seat: Hanford
County Population: 154, 434
Population per Square Mile: 104.05
Total Assessed Value: $5.9 Billion
Land Area (Square Miles): 1,391
Earthquake index: 0.4
Today, Kings County combines its relation with its colorful past history with an optimistic and enthusiastic vision for its future.

Kings County is a county located in the Central Valley of the U.S. state of California. It is located in a rich agricultural region. Kings County is also home to NAS Lemoore, which is the U.S. Navy‘s newest and largest master jet air station. The county seat is Hanford. The United States Census Bureau defines Kings County as encompassing the entire Hanford–Corcoran Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA Code 25260). The population was 152,982 at the time of the 2010 U.S. Census. According to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the county’s population included 18,640 state prison inmates as of March 31, 2010.  The California Department of Finance estimated that Kings County’s population was 152,739 as of July 1, 2011.

ECONOMY

The economy is based on agriculture. Other important employers include NAS Lemoore, the U.S. Navy‘s largest master jet base and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation which operates three state prisons in Kings County.

In 2010, the U.S. Census Bureau estimated that the median household income in the county was $44,020 and that 29,606 residents, 22.5% of the population, were below the poverty line. Furthermore, an estimated 29.7% of children under age 18 lived in poverty.  In 2009, according to the U.S Bureau of Economic Analysis, average per capita income was $30,646 in Kings County compared with $42,395 in California as a whole.  In 2003, Kings County had the lowest per capita income in the state of California.

Important Root Issues for Prayer in Kings County:

More than 60% of the population in Kings County is estimated to be overweight or obese. These high rates are fueled by environments that don’t support access to healthy, affordable foods and physical activity opportunities. In 2005, “The Public Health Department “used this opportunity to work with planners to take a non-traditional prevention approach based on Smart Growth principles.

What if all residents of King County had the same opportunities regardless of race, ethnicity,     gender, immigration status, sexual orientation or disability? What if all residents of King County had the opportunity to receive the same quality education, the same access to basic health care, the same opportunities to work for a living wage, the same access to affordable housing, the same ability to live in safe neighborhoods, and the same opportunity a new, better and very different King County would emerge. We can be the catalyst for this change through prayer.

The King County Parent Coalition is a grass roots program of The Arc of King County comprised of parents and family members who take non-partisan action to improve the lives of their family members who have developmental disabilities. This program is funded by a grant from the King County Developmental Disabilities Division.

Pray through these Seven Points:

Peace over Kings County in all cities, towns, neighborhoods and streets. (Phil. 4:6-7)

Release the Spirit of Adoption over Kings County turning the hearts of Fathers to their Children and the hearts of Children to their Fathers—all seeking The Father. (Rom 8:15)

Eradicate the works and effects of the enemy in the minds and hearts of people as well as the injection of Light, to counter darkness, in the systems that influence our culture: Government, Education, Business, Media, Arts/Entertainment, Family and Religion. (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

Prepare and repair the Temple within the heart of the believer.  Restore and enhance our unwavering love for God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit as well as for All those made in His image. (1 Cor. 6:19-20)

Activate the Whole Body of Christ, in unity and honor, for the work of ministry to others. (Eph. 4:11-14)

Release laborers into the Harvest Fields.  Open their minds to the opportunities around them in the areas that God has placed them at work, home, and church. (Matt. 9:37-38)

Establishment of God’s Kingdom—His rule and reign of Love, Justice, Mercy and Excellence and Righteousness over Kings County,  and the United States. (Matt. 6:9-10)

Tulare County …Gateway to the Sierra Nevada

History & Geography

Tulare County, California is one of the largest counties in the great and fertile San Joaquin Valley. Geographically it is situated about midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, the two principal cities of the Pacific Slope.

The county, with vast mountain masses covering nearly half of its area on the eastern side and the balance of its expanse a level and remarkably fertile plain, originally extended from Mariposa County, on the north, to the Los Angeles County line, on the south, and from the summit of the Coast Range Mountains, on the west, to the summit of the Sierra Nevada’s on the east.

Created in 1852 at the same time Siskiyou and Sierra counties were designated, the large area was maintained until 1856, when Fresno County was created from territory taken from Tulare, Mariposa and Merced counties. In 1861 part of the eastern territory was cut off and joined with parts of Fresno, Mariposa and Calaveras in forming Mono County. Kern County, cut from the southern part of Tulare, was originated as Buena Vista County in 1855, but was not officially termed Kern until 1866. All that portion of Tulare lying east of the Sierras, with a portion of Mono, was set apart for Coos County in 1864, the name being changed to Inyo County in 1866.

In 1872 the southern boundaries of Tulare and Inyo were changed by placing them on the sixth standard parallel south of Mount Diablo, thus drawing a direct line across the state, which still forms the northern boundary of San Luis Obispo, Kern and San Bernardino counties. In 1874 the Fresno-Tulare line was re-formed, placing the boundary along township and section lines rather than along the mountain ridges as theretofore. In 1875-76 another slight change in the Fresno-Tulare line was made, returning to Fresno five square townships, this boundary continuing to the present time. In 1893 Kings County was created from the western part of Tulare.

Within the confines of Tulare County are now 4,863 square miles, or 3,158,400 acres. Were the state of Connecticut lifted bodily from the Atlantic Seaboard and transported westward, it could be set down in California, but it would not quite succeed in covering Tulare County.

The county has an interesting historical aura which dates back to 1770. The first Americans to visit the valley came after 1800. The settling of the country about Visalia, the creation of the county, the struggles of the early settlers, the wars with the Indians, and the growth and development of the country present an interesting story which can be found in a number of the published histories for the county.

…Gateway to the Sequoias

The County of Tulare has a growing population of 425,000. The Eastern half of the County is comprised primarily of public lands within Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks, Sequoia National Forest, the Sequoia National Monument and the Mineral King, Golden Trout, and Domelands Wilderness areas. Opportunities for all-season outdoor recreation include: hiking, water and snow skiing, fishing, white water rafting and boating.

Visalia, the County seat, is the gateway to Sequoia National Park and a variety of recreational activities. The city, with a population of 120,000 is within a four hour drive of either San Francisco or Los Angeles, and a 2-1/2 hour drive of California’s central coastline.

Its family-oriented lifestyle and affordable housing have proven attractive to people from all areas of the state and country….
Demographics The 2010 United States Census reported that Tulare County had a population of 442,179. The racial makeup of Tulare County was 265,618 (60.1%) White, 7,196 (1.6%) African American, 6,993 (1.6%) Native American, 15,176 (3.4%) Asian, 509 (0.1%) Pacific Islander, 128,263 (29.0%) from other races, and 18,424 (4.2%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 268,065 persons (60.6%).[5]

Politics Tulare is a strongly Republican county in Presidential and congressional elections. The last Democratic candidate for President to win a majority in the county was Lyndon Johnson in 1964.

Tulare is part of California’s 21st congressional district, which is held by Republican Devin Nunes. In the State Assembly, Tulare is in the 29th, 30th, 31st, and 34th districts. The 31st is held by Democrat Henry Perea, while the 29th, 30th, and 34th are held by Republicans Linda Halderman, Danny Gilmore, and Connie Conway, respectively. In the State Senate, Tulare is part of the 16th and 18th districts, which are held by Democrat Michael Rubio and Republican Jean Fuller respectively. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulare_County,_California

Important Root Issues for Prayer

1. Water has always been an issue in Tulare County.   In the beginning Tulare County experienced an abundance of water from rain fall , snow pack and Artesian wells that were throughout the Tulare County area. Also Tulare Lake that was the largest Lake this side of the Great Lakes kept the surrounding areas under ground water strata full. This beautiful area was known by the Indians and early residents as the” Garden of the Sun!” Because it was lush and beautiful with an abundance of natural water.

2. Racial and Cultural decimation have always been a Root Issue in Tulare County. The early settlers preferred not to live alongside the Indians so they were rounded up like animals and placed in Indian Reservations. They were robbed of their Land and their Identity.

Later this happened to the Chinese and Japanese in this area. As a matter of fact there are underground tunnels in Tulare and Visalia that go to various locations in the old part of town. When Tulare Union High School was remodeling while digging foundations, they uncovered some tunnels. They were quickly sealed off.

Blacks have always been discriminated against that was the stimulus for creating a Community of their own Allensworth. The Dust Bowl Okies as we knew them were severely persecuted in Tulare County. I have heard stories from old timers lived through the persecution.

3. Broken and Single parent households needing order and structure

PRAYER POINTS

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Indians

Documents left by the earliest explorers tell us that there were numerous villages or rancherias and that the members of the various Indian tribes waxed fat on the animal and vegetable life that abounded in the district. They tell us that there were literally thousands of elk, deer, antelope, grizzly bear, mountain sheep, rabbits, ducks, geese, pigeons, swans, cranes, blackbirds and fish, and almost unlimited quantities of pinon nuts, wild oats, and other vegetable growth, assuring an ample food supply at all seasons of the year.
Mainly the tribes of what is today Kern County belonged to the Yokut group, divided into numerous tribes with distinct tribal names, and with somewhat varying customs and dialects. Although the dialect of each tribe varied from that of the other, there was sufficient similarity so that they were enabled to converse one with the other, to some extent at least. Generally speaking, the various tribes of Yokuts were on friendly terms with each other. In the hill sections there resided several tribes of Shoshoneans, and with these the Yokuts were not so friendly. However, there was trading and communication back and forth between the Shoshoneans and Yokuts. There were also a few tribes of the Chumash Indians. These seem to have been more inclined to mingle with the Shoshoneans.
Edward F. Beale, early day United States Commissioner of Indian Affairs, and one of Kern County’s most notable pioneers; said in one of his numerous reports on the subject of Indians that “In the 40′s and the 50′s there were more Indians in the vicinity of the Kern and Tulare Rivers than in any other Pacific Coast locality, drawn and supported by an abundance of vegetable and animal life.” Between 1860 and 1870 most of the Indians disappeared.

MEXICAN

Kern County was the site of the Battle of San Emigdio, in March 1824, between the Chumash Indians of the Santa Barbara Mission who rebelled against the Mexican government’s taking over mission property and ejecting the natives. This battle with Mexican forces from Monterey under the command of Cárlos Carrillo took place at the canyon where San Emigdio Creek flows down San Emigdio Mountain and the Blue Ridge south of Bakersfield near today’s Highway 166. It was a low-casualty encounter, with only four Indians killed, and no Mexicans; the surviving Indians were pacified and brought back to Santa Barbara in June 1824 after a pursuit and negotiation in which many were allowed to keep their arms for the return march over the mountains.

AMERICAN

The first American to invade the area was that noted trapper, trader and explorer, Jedediah Strong Smith, who came at the head of a small band in 1827,the trip having been made up from San Gabriel Mission, in what is today Los Angeles County. Smith was a fine, upstanding type of American citizen, and an able and fearless trail blazer, whose story of adventures is well known to all lovers of California history.

Ewing Young, the head of a trapping party which numbered among its personnel that celebrated scout, Christopher (“Kit”) Carson—then a youth of little more than twenty years of age—arrived in Kern County in 1830, arriving after a brief sojourn at San Gabriel Mission, after making the trip overland from Toas, New Mexico, where the party had been organized. In the chronicles of this party it is reported that men of the Hudson’s Bay Company were found trapping in the district. Reference is made to the scarcity of beaver, but the abundance of elk, antelope, deer and other wild game, and wild fowl are noted. The Young party spent considerable time trapping on what was then known to the Mexicans as Rio Bravo, and what we today know as Kern River, which was named for Edward Kern, cartographer for General John C. Fremont’s 1845 expedition, which crossed Walker Pass

The first recorded find of gold was made in the Kern area in 1851. However, of this find, little is known, and it was of minor importance save as a stimulant to further explorations in the area.

In the beginning, the area that became Kern County was dominated by mining in the mountains and in the desert. County government was created in 1866 with the county seat in the mining town of Havilah, in the mountains between Bakersfield and Tehachapi. The flatlands were considered inhospitable and impassable at the time due to swamps, lakes, tule reeds and diseases such as malaria. This changed when settlers started draining lands for farming and constructing canals, most dug by hand by hired Chinese laborers. Within 10 years the valley surpassed the mining areas as the economic center of the county, and the county seat was moved as a result from Havilah to Bakersfield in 1874.

The discovery well of the Kern River Oil Field was dug by hand in 1899. Soon the towns of Oil City, Oil Center and Oildale came into existence. Total estimated reserves of the Kern River field at the end of 2006 totaled more than 475 million barrels, which represented approximately 15% of California’s 3.2-billion-barrel reserve. The county as a whole today contributes more than three-quarters of all the oil produced onshore in California.

Political Registration:
According to the California Secretary of State, as of April 2008, Kern County had 283,732 registered voters. Of those, 101,580 (35.8%) were Democrats, 131,878 (46.5%) were Republicans, 10,752 (3.8%) were registered with other political parties, and 39,522 (13.9%) declined to state a political party. The cities of Bakersfield, California City, Maricopa, Ridgecrest, Taft, Tehachapi, and the unincorporated areas had a plurality or majority of voters registered Republican. All of the other cities and towns had Democratic pluralities or majorities.

Federal:
Kern is a strongly Republican county in Presidential and congressional elections. The last Democratic candidate for President to win a majority in the county was Lyndon Johnson in 1964.
Kern is part of California’s 20th and 22nd congressional districts, which are held by Democrat Jim Costa and Republican Kevin McCarthy, respectively.

Senators:
Diane Feinstein (D)
Barbara Boxer (D)
Christopher Lanning is running for US Senator.

Overview

The County of Tuolumne “To All O Me” (population 57,000) was incorporated in 1850 as one of the original 27 counties in the State of California. Stretching from the foothills to the crest of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Tuolumne County is both a recreation paradise and a wonderful place to live. The County contains historic gold mining towns, the pristine Emigrant Wilderness, world-renowned Yosemite National Park, and numerous lakes and rivers. Its proximity to San Francisco (2.5 hours) and Sacramento (2 hours) makes the County accessible. The northern half of Yosemite National Park is located in the eastern part of the county. The county seat is Sonora, the county’s only incorporated city.

The name Tuolumne is of Native American origin and has been given different meanings, such as Many Stone Houses, The Land of Mountain Lions and, Straight Up Steep, the latter an interpretation of Willia Fuller, a native Chief. Mariano Vallejo, in his report to the first California State Legislature, said that the word is “a corruption of the Indian word talmalamne which signifies ‘cluster of stone wigwams.'” The name may mean “people who dwell in stone houses,” i.e., in caves. http://www.co.tuolumne.ca.us/|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuolumne_County,_California

Demographics, Location, Geography

The 2010 United States Census reported that Tuolumne County had a population of 55,365, up from 54,501 in 2000. The racial makeup of Tuolumne County was 48,274 (87.2%) White, 1,143 (2.1%) African American, 1,039 (1.9%) Native American, 572 (1.0%) Asian, 76 (0.1%) Pacific Islander, 2,238 (4.0%) from other races, and 2,023 (3.7%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5,918 persons (10.7%).  About 8.10% of families and 11.40% of the population were below the poverty line including 16.20% of those under age 18 and 4.00% of those age 65 or over.

Unemployment is 14.6% and the teen birth rate is 26/1000.

Elections

Tuolumne is a strongly Republican county in Presidential and congressional elections. The last Democrat to win the county was Bill Clinton in 1992. Tuolumne is part of California’s 19th congressional district, which is held by Republican Jeff Denham. In the state legislature Tuolumne is in the 25th Assembly district, which is held by Republican Kristin Olsen, and the 14th Senate district, which is held by Republican Tom Berryhill.

In the 2008 presidential election, 14,988 votes were counted for John McCain with now president Barack Obama receiving 11,532 votes.

As of redistricting in California, Tuolumne will now be in US Congressional District 19, the 14th State Senate District, and the 25th Assembly District.

During the call the Calaveras/Alpine County Representative, will share

vital prayer information then lead us in prayer.

Declare with us:  We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord. We declare that we have been redeemed and made one through the blood of Jesus Christ. We agree California will fulfill her God ordained destiny.  We stand together in prayer, linking county to county in covenant alignment, to see God’s kingdom come and His will be done on earth – in California – as it is in heaven. Father we bring Calaveras/Alpine Counties before you today and pray your purpose, will and destiny be done on earth-in Calaveras/Alpine Counties- as it is in heaven.

Calaveras/Alpine, CALIFORNIA

Calaveras is one of California’s original 27 counties. In 1848 people came to this county for gold and over 9 million ounces of gold was mined from this land. The largest gold nugget found in the United States was mined at Morgan Mine weighing in at 214 lbs and 8 ounces. (1) Calaveras is a Spanish word that means skulls. The river was said to have been named by Spanish explorer Gabriel Moraga when he found many skulls of Native Americans along its banks. He believed they had either died of famine or been killed in tribal conflicts over hunting and fishing grounds. In fact, the human remains were of the native Miwuk people killed by Spanish soldiers after they banded together to rise against Spanish missionaries. Estanislao, or Stanislaus was a Yokut Indian convert from Mission San Jose. The Stanislaus River and County are named after him. He escaped Mission San Jose and it is reported that he gathered together a small group of Miwuk men and with crude weapons they fought the Spanish soldiers that were coming after them. They were all killed. A Spanish explorer by the name of Gabriel Moraga found the skulls of the Indians and named the river Calaveras for the skulls. The county is named after the river. (5)

List Cities, Towns, Neighborhoods

The cities and towns in Calaveras County are Angels Camp, Arnold, Avery, Copperopolis, Dorrington, Forest Meadows, Glencoe, Mokelumne Hill, Mountain Ranch, Murphys, Rail Road Flat, Rancho Calaveras, San Andreas, Sheep Ranch, Vallecito, Valley Springs, Wallace and West Point.

Angel Camp, population 3000, is the only incorporated city and it is here in 1864, Mark Twain wrote his first successful short story, “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County”.

Alpine County is the smallest county, by population, in California with a population of 1,175, all rural. There are no incorporated cities in the county and the county seat is Markleeville on the eastern side of the Sierras. It is located in the Sierra Nevada range between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park. All of its highways, State Routes 4, 88 and 89 are Scenic Byways.

Location, Geography, Statistics, Unemployment

Located on the eastern border of California, Alpine County is surrounded by the following counties in clock-wise order from the north: Douglas County which  is in Nevada, Mono County, Tuolumne County, Calaveras County, Amador County, and El Dorado County. It is accessible by State Routes 4, 88 and 89, all of which are typically closed in the winter at their summits, although Cal Trans tries to keep 88 open as much as possible. It is prone to avalanches.

Alpine County consists of 743.19 square miles, 99.39% of which is land that lies along the crest of the central Sierra Nevada, south of Lake Tahoe and north of Yosemite. Alpine County was created from parts of Amador, El Dorado, Calaveras, Tuolumne, and Mono Counties in 1864 during a silver boom in Nevada. It was named due to its resemblance to the Swiss Alps. At its formation, the county had a population of about 11,000 with its county seat in Silver Mountain City. By 1868 however, the local silver mines had proven unfruitful, and the population fell to about 1,200. The county seat was moved to Markleeville in 1875.

The inaugural High Up Fest, a one day musical event that brings together the popular Reggae movement with rock and hip hop, will host a national line-up of musical acts at Kirkwood Mountain Resort on March 24.

For more information on Calavera and Alpine Counties go to:  www.rpnca.org.

Prayer points:

  • Let the high praises of God arise in Calaveras and Alpine County releasing atmospheric change over the state of California
  • May the joy of the Lord be the strength of those standing in the gates and high places of these counties
  • May these counties arise to be connectors of righteousness within the state and bringers of Good News
  • Lord we pull on the holy root in the land and call forth houses of prayer and worship in Alpine and Calaveras County
  • We pray for those who dwell in the land to seek righteousness renewing their minds and obedient to God’s Word

Psalm 19:7-11The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the [whole] person; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure and bright, enlightening the eyes. The [reverent] fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even than much fine gold; they are sweeter also than honey and drippings from the honeycomb. Moreover, by them is Your servant warned (reminded, illuminated, and instructed); and in keeping them there is great reward.

Psalm 119:72 The law from Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

Psalm 119:127 Therefore I love Your commandments more than [resplendent] gold, yes, more than [perfectly] refined gold.

Exodus 20 THEN GOD spoke all these words:

2I am the Lord your God, Who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3You shall have no other gods before or besides Me.

4You shall not make yourself any graven image [to worship it] or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;

5You shall not bow down yourself to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me,

6But showing mercy and steadfast love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments.

7You shall not use or repeat the name of the Lord your God in vain [that is, lightly or frivolously, in false affirmations or profanely]; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

8[Earnestly] remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy (withdrawn from common employment and dedicated to God).

9Six days you shall labor and do all your work,

10But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, your daughter, your manservant, your maidservant, your domestic animals, or the sojourner within your gates.

11For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it [set it apart for His purposes].

12Regard (treat with honor, due obedience, and courtesy) your father and mother, that your days may be long in the land the Lord your God gives you.

13You shall not commit murder.

14You shall not commit [a]adultery.

15You shall not steal.

16You shall not witness falsely against your neighbor.

17You shall not covet your neighbor’s house, your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant, or his maidservant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s

We agree California will fulfill her God ordained destiny.  We stand together in prayer, linking county to county in covenant alignment, to see God’s kingdom come and His will be done on earth – in California – as it is in heaven. Father we bring San Joaquin County before you today and pray your purpose, will, and destiny be done on earth-in San Joaquin- as it is in heaven.

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

Overview:

San Joaquin County is nestled in the center of California and was one of the original counties of California, created in 1850 at the time of statehood.  A land of beauty, recreation and natural riches, from the waters of the Delta to the vines of the wine, San Joaquin County has it all and has been called the Gateway of the great San Joaquin Valley.

San Joaquin County boasts seven cities (approximately 921,000 total acres) and some of the best opportunities in the state for boating, fishing, camping, history, and just having fun in the sun.  Each city within this county as well as unincorporated areas, offers a unique opportunity to enjoy natural unspoiled California beauty and nature, or music, arts and culture.

From the city of Ripon to the south with its Almond Blossom Festival to the city of Lodi to the north with its Grape Festival and Harvest Faire, opportunities abound for family gatherings and fun recreation.

Over seventy-five languages are spoken within the region and there is a richness in the blending of cultures that creates an air of celebration within the individual customs, foods and cultures.

The Haggin Museum, San Joaquin County Historic Museum, and Stockton Children’s Museum are popular spots to enjoy the arts and culture that provide a much needed respite from everyday worries.

As well as the Stockton Symphony, San Joaquin County Ballet and Stockton Civic Theater provide cultural experiences for all to enjoy.

Annual family events include the Asparagus Festival, attended by thousands of fun seeking foodies from the county and beyond held at the waterfront in Downtown Stockton.  A host of other opportunities within individual cities from Lodi Lake Park and nature area to the Woodbridge Ecological Reserve, the county owned and operated Micke Grove Park which offers a zoo, Japanese Gardens, amusement rides and a historic museum, to delight both children and adults  provide full days of family outings and exploration.

The county took its name from the San Joaquin River which flows from the Sierra Nevada Mountains on the east, through the county and finally draining into the San Francisco Bay.

San Joaquin County encompasses some of the world’s richest agricultural land and is one of the highest Ag income counties per acre in the nation, along with hundreds of miles of unspoiled waterways within the San Joaquin Delta.

San Joaquin County also boasts an inland seaport in Stockton which carries goods from the Stockton port to San Francisco and points beyond.  The San Joaquin Delta is one of the area’s best kept secrets and offers some of the best boating in the state with more than 1,000 miles of waterways stretching from the Stockton Harbor to north of Sacramento and offering access to the San Francisco Bay.

One very interesting point related to the name San Joaquin is that is comes from Joachim and has a religious significance.  In Catholic tradition, Joachim was the father of the Mother Mary and in the Protoevangelium of James; Joachim is described as a rich and pious man of the house of David who regularly gave to the poor and to the temple (synagogue) at Sepphoris.  Joachim is ascribed the title of “forebearer of God” the one whom “YHWH has set up” the one whose name means “Yahweh prepares.”

San Joaquin County:  God has set you up and He prepares a prophetic destiny for you!

Prayer points for the County

1.  It has been said that the San Joaquin County is the Gateway of the great San Joaquin Valley, a land of beauty, recreation and natural riches.  This is undoubtedly true, however her current rankings of being second in CA counties for violent crimes and well above both national and state unemployment figures at 18.4% has tarnished her reputation for being a land of God’s beauty and for bountiful crop production helping to feed the world.

The most recent horrific discovery of the remains of the serial killers Wesley Shermantine Jr. and Loren Herzog murder victims in the county has shocked California and the nation.  The land of San Joaquin County cries out for justice, healing, and for God’s glory to cover the earth.

Declaration:

Violence shall no more be heard in your land, nor devastation or destruction within your borders, but you shall call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.  Lift up your heads O gates and be lifted up O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.  For we declare that the Kingdom of God is here within this county.  It is among us and the blind see, the deaf hear, and the lame man is walking.  Sicknesses flee at His voice, the dead live again and the poor hear the good news for Jesus is King within the San Joaquin County, so rejoice.  For He knows the plans he has for you and they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.  Truth springs up from the earth, and righteousness smiles down from heaven.  Yes, the Lord pours down his blessings and your land will yield its bountiful crops.   Isaiah 60:18, Psalm 24:7, Luke 7:22, Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 85:11, 12

2. Stockton, California is the seat of San Joaquin County, is the fourth-largest city in the Central Valley of the U.S. state of California. With a population of 291,707 at the 2010 census, Stockton ranks as this state’s 13th largest city. The city is located in Northern California south of the state capital Sacramento and north of Modesto.  For much of the later 19th century, starting with the Gold Rush, Stockton was one of the largest cities in the state, for a while the third largest city.  In February of 2012, Stockton’s City Council approved the first steps towards the city filing for Bankruptcy.

In 2011, Stockton had the second-highest foreclosure rate in the U.S. among cities with a population of more than 200,000, trailing only Las Vegas, according to RealtyTrac Inc. in Irvine, California.

Stockton had the nation’s eighth-highest violent crime rate in 2010 and the eighth-highest unemployment rate in December, at 15.9 percent, almost double the national average. Stockton was named the “most miserable city” in the U.S. twice in the past four years by Forbes.com, out of the 200 largest metropolitan statistical areas.  According to the San Joaquin County district attorney, the city of Stockton has the “second most violent crime rate in the state,” while San Joaquin County is the fifth-most dangerous metropolitan area in the United States, which could be alluded to Stockton’s proximity to Interstate 5 in the center of California, making it “a hub for the drug cartel between Mexico, Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia.”

Declaration:

Stockton, violence shall no more be heard in your land, nor devastation or destruction within your borders, but you shall call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.  Stockton arise from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you – rise to a new life!  Shine, be radiant with the glory of the lord, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!  The Lord will hold you in His hands for all to see, a splendid crown in the hands of God.  Never again will you be called the Godforsaken City, or the Desolate Land.  You new name will be the City of God’s Delight and the Bride of God for the Lord delights in you and will claim you as his own. Isaiah 60:1, Isaiah 62:3, 4
